Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-17

Preliminary, informational only. Gao Internet is pre-mainnet infrastructure software. The stack is non-custodial by design. Nothing on this page is investment, financial, tax, or legal advice. Final versions of these documents will be published after counsel review prior to general availability.

This preliminary policy describes conduct that is not acceptable when using gao.systems and pre-mainnet Gao Internet surfaces, and what we may do in response. By using any surface that references this policy, you agree to follow it.

Prohibited use

Unlawful activity, including fraud, money laundering, sanctions evasion, or any activity prohibited by applicable law in your jurisdiction or in Gao Systems' jurisdiction of operation.

Abuse of capability tokens, policy gates, or approval flows — including attempts to elevate scope, replay signed approvals, or impersonate another user or business.

Targeting other users with harassment, threats, doxxing, or non-consensual content.

Operating bots or AI agents that act outside their granted capability tokens or that deliberately bypass policy gates.

Spam, mass-unsolicited messaging, or abuse of Meshii relays.

Attempts to disrupt, overload, or degrade the operation of any Gao surface or another user's experience.

Reverse-engineering pre-mainnet code outside of good-faith security research disclosed under the Security policy.

Developer responsibilities

Apps and agents built on Gao SDK must request only the capability scope they need, must surface clear approval prompts for sensitive actions, and must store as little user data as possible. Apps submitted to Gao Store agree to the in-store developer terms in addition to this policy.

Enforcement

Where conduct violates this policy or applicable law, Gao Systems may decline to interact with the offending identity, throttle requests, refuse to route messages or payments, or — where required by law — cooperate with competent authorities. Non-custodial layers cannot rescind a user-signed action; off-surface remedies remain available.
